What Pipedrive Actually Costs
Pipedrive pricing UK is simpler than its reputation suggests, and the confusion mostly comes from articles describing plans that no longer exist. Pipedrive has four tiers, not five, and if you have read about Essential, Advanced, Professional or Power plans, you have been reading about a line-up that has been retired.
Here are the current figures, then what each tier unlocks, where the add-on costs sit, and the one billing question that can double your bill.
Pipedrive Pricing UK: The Four Plans
| Plan | Annual (per seat/month) | Monthly (per seat/month) | Annual saving |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lite | £14 | £24 | 42% |
| Growth | £39 | £49 | 20% |
| Premium | £59 | £79 | 25% |
| Ultimate | £79 | £99 | 20% |
There is no free plan. The trial is 14 days with no card required.
All figures exclude VAT, which the section below covers, and Pipedrive bills UK customers in pounds.
Lite, £14
Entry level, and genuinely entry level. Deal tracking, contact management and a visual pipeline. Suits a sole trader who wants somewhere structured to track conversations and nothing more.
What it does not include is the thing most people buy a CRM for. Automation is not available on Lite.
Growth, £39
The significant tier, and the real starting point for most businesses. Workflow automation begins here — automated tasks and nurturing sequences — and so does revenue forecasting, with built-in forecasts and forecast reports.
That combination is why Growth rather than Lite is the honest entry point for anyone who wants the CRM to do work rather than store records. It is also nearly three times the price, which is the single most useful thing to know before you start.
Premium, £59
Pipedrive’s own “most popular” marker. Deeper reporting, more administrative control and higher limits.
Ultimate, £79
Top tier, for larger teams with security, permissions and governance requirements. Overkill for most sole traders and small businesses, and priced accordingly.
The Tier Names You Will See Elsewhere
Worth stating plainly, because it is the reason most Pipedrive pricing articles are unusable.
The current plans are Lite, Growth, Premium and Ultimate. Comparisons referring to Essential, Advanced, Professional, Power or Enterprise tiers are describing the previous structure. You will also see the £39 figure attached to a “Professional” plan — £39 is Growth.
This matters beyond pedantry. Advice built on the old names maps features to the wrong prices. The common recommendation that “Advanced is the practical entry point for automation” points at a plan that does not exist; automation starts at Growth, £39. And the advice that you need “Professional” for forecasting is wrong in a more expensive direction, since forecasting is also at Growth.
Where the Upgrade Triggers Actually Sit
Lite to Growth: the moment you want to automate anything. A follow-up task created when a deal changes stage, a nurturing sequence, any forecast at all. This is the clearest and most common trigger.
Growth to Premium: reporting depth and administrative control, rather than any single feature.
Premium to Ultimate: team size, permissions and governance.
One caveat on a trigger that usually appears in these guides. Pipedrive does not publish pipeline, custom field or automation limits on its pricing page, so claims that multiple pipelines sit at a particular tier cannot be verified from the published information. If separate pipelines for new business and renewals is the reason you are buying, ask Pipedrive directly and get it in writing before committing — do not take a number from a comparison article, this one included.
The Add-Ons, With Numbers
This is where budgets overshoot, and the reason is that most articles describe the add-ons without pricing them. The published starting prices:
| Add-on | From | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Web Visitors | £41 | Identifies which companies visit your website |
| LeadBooster | £32.50 | Chatbot, live chat, prospect finder, web forms |
| Smart Docs | £32.50 | Quotes, proposals and e-signatures |
| Projects | £16 | Delivery work tracked after the sale |
| Campaigns | £13.33 | Built-in email marketing |
Look at the first two against the tier prices. LeadBooster at £32.50 costs almost as much as a Growth seat. Web Visitors at £41 costs more than one. An add-on is not a rounding adjustment to your subscription; it is a second subscription.
Note also that Campaigns is Pipedrive’s email marketing and is not included in any base plan. If you are consolidating away from Mailchimp, that is a £13.33 line, not a saving.
The Question That Decides Your Bill
Pipedrive’s pricing page does not state whether add-ons are billed per seat or per company, and the difference is large.
Take a three-person team on Growth at £117 a month, adding LeadBooster:
- If per company: £117 + £32.50 = £149.50 a month
- If per seat: £117 + £97.50 = £214.50 a month
That is a £780 annual difference on one add-on. Ask before you buy, and ask in writing. It is the single most consequential unpublished detail in Pipedrive’s pricing.
Annual Versus Monthly
The annual discount is unusually uneven, and worth exploiting on the entry tier.
- Lite: £14 against £24, a 42% saving — the largest discount here by a wide margin
- Growth: £39 against £49, 20%
- Premium: £59 against £79, 25%
- Ultimate: £79 against £99, 20%
Lite paid monthly at £24 is poor value: you pay £10 a seat a month for flexibility on the cheapest plan, which is the plan you are least likely to be uncertain about. If Lite is right for you, pay annually.
On the upper tiers, 20% to 25% is a normal trade against the flexibility of monthly. The honest advice is to use the trial properly first — import real contacts, build your actual pipeline, test an automation if you are considering Growth — rather than committing to a year on the strength of a demo.
VAT: The Prices Are Not the Prices
Pipedrive’s listed prices exclude VAT, which is easy to miss and material for one group in particular.
If you are VAT-registered, the VAT is recoverable and this is a cash-flow point rather than a cost. If you are a sole trader below the £90,000 VAT registration threshold, you cannot reclaim it, so the real cost of Growth is £39 plus VAT rather than £39.
One detail to confirm at checkout rather than take from here: Pipedrive’s pricing page describes VAT being charged to EU customers at their member state’s rate unless a valid VAT number is supplied. Post-Brexit the UK is outside that, and the page does not spell out the UK treatment. Check what appears on your own invoice.
UK-Specific Considerations
Pounds, Though the Page May Show Dollars
Pipedrive bills UK customers in sterling, which removes currency risk from your budgeting.
It is worth knowing that Pipedrive’s pricing page geolocates: requested from outside the UK, even the UK-specific URL serves US dollars. The annual figures happen to carry the same nominal numbers in both currencies, which makes the error invisible — a writer looking at $14, $39, $59 and $79 produces a table that is accidentally right on the annual column and wrong on everything else.
This is not unique to Pipedrive. Capsule, Zoho and HubSpot all do the same thing, which is why so much CRM pricing in circulation is confidently incorrect.
Making Tax Digital
Pipedrive is not accounting software and has no role in your filings. It integrates with Xero, QuickBooks and FreeAgent, all of which handle MTD.
For context on why the integration is worth having rather than required: MTD for Income Tax has applied since 6 April 2026 to sole traders and landlords with qualifying income above £50,000, falling to £30,000 in April 2027 and £20,000 in April 2028. More frequent deadlines make badly attributed income more expensive, which is the argument for joining your pipeline to your books. It is not a compliance feature.
FAQ
Does Pipedrive have a free plan?
No, and it never has had a permanent one. There is a 14-day trial with no card required. If free is a hard requirement, Zoho CRM’s free edition runs three users permanently and HubSpot’s free tier allows two — our Capsule CRM alternatives comparison covers both.
What are Pipedrive’s plans called?
Lite, Growth, Premium and Ultimate, at £14, £39, £59 and £79 per seat per month on annual billing. Essential, Advanced, Professional and Power are retired names still widely quoted.
Which plan do I need for automation?
Growth, at £39 per seat per month. Automation is not available on Lite, which is the most important thing to know about Pipedrive’s pricing.
Is Pipedrive good value for a sole trader?
At £14 for Lite, yes, if contact and deal tracking is all you need. Less so if you want automation, because that is £39 — at which point compare it against Capsule at £27 for Growth and Zoho CRM at £12 for Standard.
Are the prices inclusive of VAT?
No. Prices exclude VAT. Recoverable if you are VAT-registered, a real additional cost if you are not.
How much do the add-ons cost?
Published starting prices are Web Visitors £41, LeadBooster £32.50, Smart Docs £32.50, Projects £16 and Campaigns £13.33. Confirm whether each is billed per seat or per company, because the pricing page does not say and it changes the total substantially.
How does Pipedrive compare on price?
Mid-range. Cheaper than Salesforce, comparable to HubSpot once promotional pricing lapses, and dearer than Zoho CRM. Lite at £14 matches Capsule Starter, but Capsule includes accounting integrations at that price while Pipedrive’s automation sits a tier higher. Our Pipedrive versus Zoho CRM comparison goes through it properly.
Pipedrive Pricing UK: The Bottom Line
Four plans: Lite £14, Growth £39, Premium £59, Ultimate £79 per seat per month on annual billing, all excluding VAT, with no free tier and a 14-day trial.
The decision that matters is Lite against Growth, and it is not a close one if you want automation, because Lite does not have any. That makes the practical entry price £39 rather than £14 for most businesses — a distinction worth knowing before you budget around the headline figure.
Then cost the add-ons properly. LeadBooster at £32.50 and Web Visitors at £41 are comparable to a seat each, Campaigns at £13.33 is the email marketing that is not in your plan, and nobody publishes whether they are charged per seat or per company. Ask that question before you sign, because on a three-person team it is the difference between £149 and £214 a month.
And pay Lite annually if you choose it. A 42% discount is not a discount you decline.
Pricing and features correct at time of writing. Plans and capabilities are subject to change — always confirm current details on the provider’s website before purchasing.
