The £12 Tier Does What You Think Enterprise Does
Zoho CRM pricing UK is genuinely confusing, and one misunderstanding costs more than all the others combined: multiple sales pipelines are a Standard feature at £12 per user, not an Enterprise feature at £35.
Zoho’s own edition comparison is unambiguous about it — multiple sales pipelines show as included on Standard, Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate. So a business that wants new business and renewals tracked separately, and is told it needs Enterprise, is being pointed at £35 a user when £12 does the job. For a five-person team that is £2,100 a year against £720.
There is a second feature people get backwards in the opposite direction, covered below. First, the figures.
Zoho CRM Pricing UK: Every Plan
| Plan | Annual (per user/month) | Monthly (per user/month) | Annual saving |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | £0 (3 users) | £0 | — |
| Standard | £12 | £16 | 25% |
| Professional | £18 | £28 | 36% |
| Enterprise | £35 | £45 | 22% |
| Ultimate | £42 | £55 | 24% |
All exclude VAT. Zoho publishes UK-specific pricing, and its pricing pages geolocate — requested from outside the UK they serve dollars or rupees rather than pounds, which is why third-party comparison figures for Zoho are so often wrong. Switch the currency selector to GBP and read it there.
Note that Zoho’s comparison table also shows a Starter edition between Free and Standard. It is not on the main pricing table and we could not retrieve its price, so if you want the cheapest paid entry point, ask Zoho directly whether Starter is available to UK buyers.
What Each Tier Unlocks
Free — 3 Users
Three users, free forever, which is the most generous free CRM tier in the UK market. Standard modules for leads, contacts, accounts and deals.
One correction worth making: Zoho’s comparison table shows workflow rules as present on every edition including Free, so the common claim that the free plan has no automation at all appears to be wrong. What is not published anywhere we could find is how many rules each edition permits, so if automation volume matters, ask for the number rather than relying on an article.
Data storage on the entry column of Zoho’s table shows 5,000 records, though the column headers were truncated where we read it, so treat that figure as indicative.
Standard — £12
The tier most comparisons underrate, because of what it contains:
- Multiple sales pipelines
- Scoring rules for leads and contacts
- Workflow rules
- Custom list views and basic reports
- Email templates and mass email
- Social media integrations
At £12 this is the cheapest multiple-pipeline CRM in the mainstream UK market — Capsule charges £27 for the same capability and Pipedrive £39. If your requirement is a couple of distinct sales processes and some scoring, this is where you stop.
Professional — £18
Adds Blueprint process management, SalesSignals, inventory management for quotes and invoices, Google Ads integration, custom fields and page layouts.
What it does not add is custom modules. More on that below, because it is the article’s second big correction.
Enterprise — £35
Where Zoho CRM becomes a platform rather than a good SME tool:
- Custom modules: 100, allocated at 2 per user licence
- Zia, the AI assistant — predictive scoring, sentiment analysis, best-time-to-contact
- Territory management
- Custom functions and Deluge scripting
- Advanced analytics with unlimited dashboards
- Canvas design studio
- Client-facing portals
Ultimate — £42
Zoho Analytics bundled natively, enhanced AI, higher storage, premium support, and 500 custom modules at 5 per user licence. For most UK small businesses Enterprise is sufficient; Ultimate makes sense if you would otherwise buy Zoho Analytics separately.
The Two Features People Get Backwards
Multiple Pipelines Are Standard, Not Enterprise
Covered at the top, and worth restating because it is the most expensive error in circulation about Zoho’s pricing. Pipelines are £12, and no part of Zoho’s published comparison supports putting them at £35.
Custom Modules Do Not Exist Below Enterprise
The usual version of this says Professional gives you five custom modules and Enterprise makes them unlimited, which is wrong at both ends.
Zoho’s comparison table shows custom modules as not available on Free, Standard or Professional. They begin at Enterprise with 100, allocated as two per user licence, rising to 500 on Ultimate at five per licence.
That changes the upgrade decision completely. There is no five-module allowance on Professional to grow out of — if you need custom modules at all, you need Enterprise from the start. So the examples usually given for this trigger, a property agency tracking properties, a recruiter tracking candidates and vacancies separately, an events business tracking events, are Enterprise cases on day one rather than businesses that will outgrow Professional.
Note also that Enterprise’s allowance scales with headcount: two modules per user licence means a three-person team is working within six modules, not a hundred.
Annual Versus Monthly
The annual discount is uneven and worth knowing per tier:
- Standard: £12 against £16 — 25%
- Professional: £18 against £28 — 36%, the largest discount in the range
- Enterprise: £35 against £45 — 22%
- Ultimate: £42 against £55 — 24%
The frequently quoted “a third cheaper annually” is wrong for Standard, where it is a quarter, and understates Professional, where it is better than a third.
Practical approach: trial monthly if you are unsure, since you are buying flexibility. On Professional in particular, move to annual as soon as you are confident — paying monthly there costs £10 a user a month extra.
VAT
Prices on Zoho’s UK storefront are shown excluding VAT, with UK VAT added at checkout. So Professional at £18 is £21.60 including VAT, and Enterprise at £35 is £42.
Recoverable if you are VAT-registered. A real additional cost if you are a sole trader below the £90,000 registration threshold — our VAT guide covers where that threshold bites.
Promotional Versus Standard Pricing
Zoho runs promotional rates for new sign-ups and during sale periods, typically as discounted first-year pricing. The figures above are standard published rates.
If you see a rate well below them, check whether it reverts after twelve months and budget on the standard rate rather than the promotional one. This is the same trap Slack and HubSpot set, and it catches people who size a subscription on year-one pricing.
The Real Upgrade Triggers
With the corrections applied, the triggers look different from the usual list:
- Free → Standard: more than three users, or you need multiple pipelines, scoring or mass email
- Standard → Professional: Blueprint process management, SalesSignals, or quotes and invoices inside the CRM
- Professional → Enterprise: custom modules — the real binary here, since there are none below Enterprise — plus Zia, territory management or Deluge scripting
- Enterprise → Ultimate: native Zoho Analytics, or more than 100 custom modules
Multiple pipelines appear nowhere on that list above Standard, which is the point.
Zoho One: How to Run the Calculation
Whether Zoho One beats stacking individual apps is a genuinely useful question, and it is worth being honest that we could not verify the figure it turns on.
Zoho One’s pricing page gave no per-user monthly price for either billing option. The only figure shown was US$90 for the flexible-user model, with no period stated, no GBP and no currency selector. So any breakeven you read that cites roughly £30 per user for all-employees and £75 for flexible-user is working from numbers we could not confirm on Zoho’s own page.
What we can give you is the method and the verified inputs. For a five-user business:
- Zoho CRM Professional: £18 × 5 = £90/month
- Zoho Books Standard: £10/month annual, or £12 monthly — charged per organisation, not per user
- Zoho Campaigns and Zoho Desk: priced separately, and we could not verify current UK figures
So the CRM and accounting core for five people is £100 a month before Campaigns or Desk. Get Zoho One’s current UK all-employees figure, multiply by your headcount, and compare.
Two caveats that matter more than the arithmetic. The all-employees model licenses everyone on payroll, so you cannot put three people on Zoho One and leave the rest off — it works when the whole team will realistically use some of the bundled apps. And Zoho One’s own page says prices exclude VAT, as the CRM’s do.
The general shape still holds: if you already pay for three or more Zoho products, or you are adding Zoho Books to a CRM subscription, Zoho One is worth pricing properly. Just price it on a current quote rather than a published comparison, including this one.
Zoho CRM and Making Tax Digital
Zoho CRM does not handle VAT returns or Making Tax Digital. That is Zoho Books, which has MTD for VAT functionality, and the two integrate natively.
Worth being current about why this matters: MTD for Income Tax has applied since 6 April 2026 to sole traders and landlords with qualifying income above £50,000, falling to £30,000 in April 2027 and £20,000 in April 2028. MTD for VAT already applies to all VAT-registered businesses.
Check which of those regimes your accounting software covers rather than assuming one implies the other. If you are VAT-registered you need Zoho Books or an equivalent in your costs regardless of which CRM tier you choose.
FAQ
Which Zoho CRM plan has multiple pipelines?
Standard, at £12 per user per month on annual billing. Not Enterprise. This is the most commonly misreported fact about Zoho’s pricing and the one that costs the most.
How many custom modules do I get on Professional?
None. Custom modules start at Enterprise with 100, allocated two per user licence, and Ultimate gives 500 at five per licence. There is no small allowance on Professional.
Does Zoho CRM pricing include VAT?
No. UK prices exclude VAT, added at checkout, so £18 becomes £21.60 and £35 becomes £42.
Is there a free trial?
Zoho offers a trial on paid tiers without a credit card. Confirm the current length when you sign up, and use it on the tier you are actually considering rather than the cheapest.
Can I mix plans across users?
No. All users in a Zoho CRM account sit on the same plan, so you cannot put managers on Enterprise and everyone else on Professional. Plan the tier around the person with the heaviest requirement.
Is annual billing much cheaper?
Yes, and it varies: 25% on Standard, 36% on Professional, 22% on Enterprise, 24% on Ultimate.
How does Zoho compare with the alternatives?
Zoho is the value pick in most UK small-business CRM comparisons, largely because of the three-user free tier and multiple pipelines at £12. See our Pipedrive versus Zoho CRM comparison, and Zoho CRM versus Bigin if you are weighing Zoho’s simpler product.
Zoho CRM Pricing UK: The Bottom Line
Free for three users, Standard £12, Professional £18, Enterprise £35, Ultimate £42, all per user per month on annual billing and all excluding VAT.
The two facts that should decide your tier are not the ones usually offered. Multiple pipelines are included at £12, so most businesses told they need Enterprise for that do not. And custom modules do not exist below Enterprise, so if your business tracks something non-standard — properties, candidates, vehicles, events — Enterprise is where you start rather than somewhere you arrive.
For most UK small businesses with a defined sales process, Professional at £18 remains the sensible middle. For anyone whose requirement is simply a couple of pipelines and some scoring, Standard at £12 is the answer, and it is better value than anything else in this market.
And price Zoho One on a live quote. It may well win, but not on the figures doing the rounds.
